  • Prior to employment employees must submit a statement signed by their source of medical care based on a thorough examination.
  • You must have a criminal background check done through fingerprinting at a local facility.  This must be done BEFORE you are able to start working.
  • You must also sign a release of information for Office of Child Care.
  • In accordance with the department of human resources requirements at OCC, no person shall be hired or retained as a staff member, paid or volunteer, who has: been convicted of or admitted to or been the subject of substantial evidence of an act child battering, child abuse, or child molestation; used alcohol or drugs that its effects are apparent during working hours that children are in care, or been convicted for or admitted to any felony or any offense involving moral turpitude.
  • Please be advised that we may require a urine drug screen upon or during employment at random. If at any time you refuse to submit a urine sample OR fail a drug test you will have voluntarily resigned your position at Smart Start Early Learning Center.
  • As a condition of employment you will be required to take classes and continuing education opportunities as they arise.
